Confidentiality Policy, Distribution, Practices and Rights
All sensitive and identifying content will NOT be included in the completed song from each recording session. This includes, but is not limited to, names of children, staff, and pets, location of the Client or surrounding locations.
Personalised Certificates:
The first name of children is used for the certificate.
Correspondence:
We have two forms of correspondence. For parents who enroll their children directly with our program, all correspondance will be emailed to the email address placed upon the enrollment form. For centre funded whole-class incursion sessions, we will correspond with the centre Manager/Admin and they will provide the song & personalised webpage information to families at their discretion.
Acknowledgement:
Although we would love to praise the little superstars (and we give them LOADS of high-fives throughout), we are unable to make mention of any child in the write up on the password protected page, within the song, or any other written/audio form. Any questions regarding specific children can be directed to a SideTrack Productions employee at the time of the recording. It is against our privacy policy to disclose who sung what after the session recording date.
Distribution and Release of Music:
Confidentiality and privacy is very important to us. We work under the belief that unless you know what your child sounds like, you will have no way of knowing who you are listening to. This allows us to provide the completed track on the Password Protected Client Page as an Mp3, Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music and Apple Music confidently and safely and anonymously. The distribution artist name is “Kindy Songs”. Production company “SideTrack Productions”.
We are unable to be held responsible for any information provided to other people through the happy boasting of the children, parents and guardians who wish to share the song with their loved ones.
Personalised Password Protected Webpage:
Each song gets it’s own URL on kindysongs.com.au which is password protected. On this page, we will include information about the song, how the session went, and if the children are willing, a photo of their time on the microphone/ with their certificate. If you do not wish for your child to have images taken of them, please let us know in advance. These images will only be distributed on this password protected webpage for families who were involved in the song.
Copyright:
SideTrack Productions holds the copyright to each song recorded in its entirety across the Universe. Sounds epic, we know! This means that SideTrack Productions composes each original song’s backing track, melody and lyrics and holds the rights to distribute and release the songs we create to various online platforms as stated above in the “Distribution” section. Any vocals recorded in the recording sessions remain the property of SideTrack Productions so the release and distribution is never hindered after a recording session is conducted and a song is produced. By participating in this program, you waive all rights to any and all royalties or subsequential income resulting from the sale, use, or streaming of the song/s your child participates in.
Use of Vocals:
SideTrack Productions edits the vocals recorded to create a completed song about Kindness, Manners, Stronger Together, and Celebration/ Graduation. The remaining vocals which are not used are discarded. SideTrack Productions aims to use vocals which portray each child in a positive light as this is the goal of the Kindy Songs Program. SideTrack Productions is not responsible for any adverse reactions to any vocals used. It is our mission to create amazing original songs that bring happiness to the lives of everyone involved – any negative or inappropriate vocals are never used in the completed songs.
Use of Song:
The recorded track is intended for private use by the Early Learning Childcare Centre and the families of the children who participated in the recording session. This track may be utilised in the Early Learning Childcare Centre as a learning tool, anthem, for special performances, and any other private purpose within The Centre as they deem fit. It can be shared through family and friends as they deem fit. Any commercial use of this song must be approved by SideTrack Productions. SideTrack Productions may use a section of the track as an example of what a completed song sounds like on their website or when speaking to people about the program. No information about when, where or who is provided to anyone that listens to the example snippet.
Information Disclosure
We do not disclose your, your centre or your child’s information to anyone. The forms you fill out are emailed to us through the website server. No payment information is asked for or held through this server at this time.
Centre Funded Full-Class Participation & Permission Form
Privacy and Permissions are incredibly important!! When we conduct recording sessions for your centre as an incursion funded by your centre for all the children in class, we do not have the ability to email individual parents to gain their understanding of the program and the rights & practices involved.

It is the responsibility of the ELC to obtain all permissions as SideTrack Productions does not have the ability to contact individual parents/guardians at every centre we attend. Thank you for your understanding and compliance.
By allowing SideTrack Productions to conduct our Kindy Songs Program at your location, you understand and agree that it is the responsibility of the Early Learning Centre to obtain approval from your staff, and any parent/guardians of the children who attend your establishment at your discretion (be it written or verbal) to be allowed to participate in the Kindy Songs program. You acknowledge that SideTrack Productions is not held responsible for any negligent actions that result in the failure of obtaining above mentioned approvals within your Centre. SideTrack Productions will not be held liable for any adverse reactions resulting from the completed track. We take every step to create a positive song and can not be held responsible for any subjective view from anyone who listens to it.
